Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/. The Cloud Data Engineering Lead will take on key roles supporting the Enterprise Data Platform services used across all J&J affiliates. This individual will work alongside platform Subject Matter Experts (SME) to increase reliability of services, and support partners to ensure stability. Additionally, they will regularly engage with J&J business partners to assure alignment of services to their business goals. They will also partner with colleagues across other dependent Enterprise IT service offerings to ensure our platform service continuity. This role will work a Flex/Hybrid schedule; there is NO remote option for this role. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Own end-to-end platform lifecycle activities including technical vision, strategy, prioritization, delivery and performance management
  • Collaborate with Platform Owners and Product Owners to build a technical backlog that delivers business value while meeting the needs of supporting teams
  • Work in close partnership with the Platform Architect and technology counterparts to manage cross-team dependencies in roadmaps and backlog, and to refine technical backlog by using product roadmaps and by anticipating functional and non-functional requirements while balancing business value and technical feasibility, cost and delivery timelines
  • Drive the interaction model between the product groups using the platform and the platform teams building/maintaining the platform, using clear cadences, standards and best practices to ensure clarity and agreement of decision rights
  • Ensure platform fits into the broader Enterprise Architecture guidelines and standards (e.g., APIs, security controls, approved technologies, data standards, etc.) and maintain leading expertise on tech capabilities relevant to the platform
  • Drive selection of platform solution; work with the Lead Engineers to assess technical elements of the solution prior to user testing
  • Develop tools and infrastructure to deploy, supervise and lead production services and products.
  • Ensure delivered solutions are optimized for ease-of-use, reusability, and scalability.
  • Stay up to date on relevant technologies pertinent to the role and understand trends and opportunities to ensure the customer continues to use the best possible techniques and tools to create software.
  • Ensure implementations and development activities always engineer towards enriching knowledge base documentation, including gathering design details, usage, maintenance, configuration, and deployment notes.
  • Understands, documents, and supports the underlying business processes, workflows, data, and application platforms that depend on cloud environments.\r\r
