Key ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a seasoned sous chef to join our team at Hearty & Healthy in the East Village. The ideal candidate will have a passion for crafting delicious dishes and leading a high-performing kitchen.Requirements

  • Proven experience navigating the fast-paced New York City culinary scene.
  • The ability to inspire and guide a team of cooks, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional food quality.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to efficiently execute orders from start to finish.
  • A solid track record in a sous chef role, demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • The resilience to thrive in high-pressure environments, maintaining composure and delivering consistently excellent results.
  • Proficiency in all kitchen stations, including cold, fry, grill, and saut--.
  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves and work alongside the chef on the grill, learning the ins and outs of our kitchen system.
  • A deep understanding of optimal cooking temperatures for meats and seafood.
