Job Description:
Adecco Creative & Marketing is assisting a major women?s fashion
retailer in their search for a Marketing Associate! The Marketing
Associate job is based in New York City and is a long-term
freelance opportunity with the potential to go permanent.
The Marketing Associate, or lynchpin of the department, plays a key
role with in the marketing team. This person will manage execution
on three key initiatives (New Stores, Teachers and St. Jude).
Workload varies by season, but there is always something to be
done. The role is continuing to evolve and needs someone who is
flexible and willing to handle anything that is given to them. For
the right person, there is a lot of growth potential.
This role operates cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Real
Estate, Client Experience, Field RVP?s, Store Planning, Media
Planning, Charitable Initiatives and Corporate Communications.
Key Accountabilities
- Day-to-day contact and lead on all new store, teacher segment and
St. Jude
- Assisting in strategy development on programs
- Provide market research and analysis on best practices
- Lead internal communications on initiatives
- Brief each program managing timeline and deliverables
- Execute each program as needed
- Identify market opportunities and best practices for all
initiatives
- Develop credibility as a partner with -internal clients-
(Planning& Allocation, E-Commerce, Field RVP-s, Media Planning,
Charitable Initiatives, Client Experience and Corporate
Communications) to manage their needs, deliverables and
timelines
Admin Tasks
- Competitive Market Research - In-store visits with photo
documentation
- Industry Key Article Round-ups - Provide weekly reports with
brief overview on relevant articles
- Manage Event Workflow Hours
- Invoicing/Billing - Handle all department billing
- Ad hoc research projects as needed
Requirements
- 3-5 years prior work experience within retail/fashion
- Previous experience managing direct mail/projects/charitable
initiatives
- College Degree preferably in Marketing, Business or
Communications
- A natural problem-solver who can work under pressure
- An ability to multi-task: multiple seasons, initiatives and
priorities
- Detail oriented, loves to learn and action oriented
