  • Job Details
  • The Manager of Central Services manages services and departments in providing patient care equipment and instrument reprocessing function including collection, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, high-level disinfection, and distribution policies across Berkshire Health Systems.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert and resource for product reprocessing needs.
  • In collaboration with the peri-operative director, develops and ensures compliance with the departmental budget.
  • Works collaboratively with all BHS departments and units to ensure safe and effective instrument and equipment availability.
  • Models excellence in patient experience and safety.
  • With the leadership of the Peri-operative director, develops and evaluates service considering future trends and anticipated changes in the industry.
  • The Manager supports the mission of the health system and accountable to the Director of Peri-operative Services.
    • Job Requirements
    • Minimum of 1-2 years CURRENT successful leadership/management experience strongly required.
    • Minimum 3 years progressive experience in Central Service and/or operating room in a leadership position within an area providing the same or similar service.
    • Experience working with and directing others in a fair, consistent, and respectful manner.
    • 5 years in an acute care sterile processing department.
    • 1+ years of experience preparing for CMS or Joint Commission survey preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree required.

      • Traveler must be willing to work TWO of the following: Thanksgiving and weekend after, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and weekend after, New Year Eve/New Year Day and weekend after.
      • 8hrs non-billable orientation.
      • NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better).

        • DO NOT UPLOAD A TRAVELER WHO WILL NOT WORK POSTED SHIFT.
        • SHIFT ACCOMMODATIONS ARE NOT CONSIDERED FOR THIS NEED (10/12HR SHIFTS).
        • Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need.
