Sanctuary for Families is New York's leading service provider and
advocate for survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking and
related forms of gender violence. Every year, Sanctuary empowers
thousands of adults and children to move from fear and abuse to
safety and stability, transforming lives through a comprehensive
range of services. We provide a range of wrap-around services to
help survivors rebuild their lives in the aftermath of abuse, and
work to end gender violence through three key strategies: direct
services, outreach and training, and systems-change advocacy. Our
services are available in 12 locations throughout New York
City.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Clinical
Supervisor has responsibility for clinical and case management
oversight of the Residential Services program. The Clinical
Supervisor will directly provide supervision of staff which
includes the Counselor, Case Managers and interns in the
residential program. The Clinical Supervisor will ensure that
program staff carries out their job responsibilities in a
professional and ethical manner and maintain availability to staff
during hours of operation and after hours as needed. The Clinical
Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of care
in order to ensure the appropriateness and effectiveness of
residential and supportive services, identification of gaps in
residential and service delivery system, representing the Agency at
meetings, conferences, and public forums. Along with the Director,
the Clinical Supervisor will work on strategic planning and
implementation, development and implementation of processes and
services that will improve the residential environment and service
delivery system, staff training and development and staff
supervision, compliance with contracts, agency policies and
procedures, regulatory requirements and audit readiness and new
initiatives. The Clinical Supervisor will be required to maintain a
professional and ethical disposition at all times, while ensuring
that staff practice professionalism and ethical behavior as
well.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides individual and group clinical and administrative
supervision to the Residential Counselor, two Case Managers and
interns.
In the absence of the Program Director, provides guidance and
supervision to the Manager of Rosa Parks and the Residential
Aides.
In conjunction with the Program Director, manages and provides
annual program planning for the crisis shelter program.
Conducts and makes determination on shelter assessments for open
vacancies. Coordinate staff at the dwellings for intakes and
discharges.
Conducts intakes as needed at the shelters.
Ensures the shelter team works consistently with each client to
obtain permanent housing prior to or before the 180 day DPE.
Communicate with HRA in regards to issues relating to clients stay
in shelter.
Assess, make determination on, and conduct administrative
discharges in consultation with Director.
Communicate with HRA and SFF staff in regards to incident reports
and provide follow up.
Provides counseling, advocacy, including affidavits and testimony,
case management and referrals to clients.
Administer personnel policies and procedures under the guidance of
the program director.
In conjunction of the Director, assist in staff recruitment,
training, and evaluation of staff.
Represents Sanctuary for Families on city wide coalitions and
committees on issues related to the impact of DV on clients in
absences of the Program Director.
Communicate with HRA, DHS and other providers for client's
needs.
Works closely with staff throughout SFF.
Any other duties assigned to by Director.
LMSW or LMHC required.
A minimum of (2) year's post-master's degree in the field of human
services, and 1 year supervisory experience.
SIFI certification preferred.
Experience in the field of domestic violence and/or residential
services preferred.
Ability to provide coaching, supervision and leadership.
Excellent interpersonal, administrative and managerial skills.
Excellent verbal/written communication.
Excellent clinical skills.
Flexibility and ability to prioritize and work on multiple
projects.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
skills.
Bilingual English and Spanish or additional community language
preferred.
Understanding of and ability to work with people of diverse
national, ethnic, cultural, religious and socioeconomic
backgrounds.
Budgeted Salary: $78,000 - $83,000 per year
Work position is Full-time; Salaried/Exempt
Work schedule is currently Hybrid; must be able to meet job
location schedule obligations
